Connor McGregor looked to be all talk & no substance again this past UFC 229 bout. Khabib Nurmagomedov’s wrestling game was much too strong, and he was able to get the win by submission during the 4th round.
The post-fight antics were almost more of a spectacle than the fight itself for the Lightweight Championships belt. Emotions were tense throughout the pre-fight campaign, and bubbled over the surface after Connor’s defeat, with Khabib Nurmagomedov jumping out of the cage to attack a member of Connor McGregor’s training staff after exchanging words. Though Khabib’s actions were unprofessional and will leave a stain on the sport’s reputation, Connor’s “mental warfare” prior to fight included insulting Khabib’s religion and his family.

Nurmagomedov’s punishment is under review, as the entire series of events is being investigated. His purse (money for winning the match) was withheld by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC). Khabib’s U.S. Visa is now in jeapoardy, as his career in the UFC, according to owner Dana White.
First of all I want to say sorry to Nevada Athletic Commission and second to Vegas. I know this is not my best side. I’m a human being. But I don’t understand how people can talk about how I jump on the cage. He talked about my religion, he talked about my country, he talked about my father.
